New Years Eve is always good for a social event, where a lot of mingling, eating and drinking goes on. Here are some of my favourite mocktail recipes to share with you. Whether you are pregnant, skipping the alcohol, or want to try the healthier alternative, these mocktails will quench that thirst and satisfy those cravings!

Lychee Berry Daiquiri

For a fresh, sweet treat, combining the exotic flavour of lychees with strawberries, and a hint of mint, this mocktail not only looks great, but tastes even better!

Ingredients (makes 2):

  • 8 lychees (canned and pitted)

  • 10 strawberries (fresh, or frozen works best)

  • 1 Tsp. Maple syrup (or lychee syrup from can)

  • 1 cup of ice

  • 6 Mint leaves, and extra for garnish

  • Blend the lychees, strawberries, syrup and ice together until smooth. If mixture becomes too thin, add more ice. If too thick, add water.

  • Bruise the mint leaves and add some to each glass

  • Pour mixture into each glass, or over ice if preferred, stirring so that it mixes with the mint

  • Garnish with a sprig of mint, and enjoy!

A twist on the appletini, without the alcohol but with the sour kick!

  • ½ cup lemon juice

  • 1 Tbsp. maple or agave syrup

  • Ice to fill shaker

  • Apple slices for garnish

  • Add ingredients into a cocktail shaker, and shake for 20-30 seconds.

  • Pour into martini glass, garnish with apple slices and enjoy!
