Golden Turmeric Coconut Milk

Golden milk, or turmeric milk, originated from India as a traditional warm drink, that has many beneficial properties. Some of these health benefits are listed below!

  1. High in antioxidants – curcumin, a component in turmeric, has antioxidants that help to protect your body from stresses that cause cell damage, and lowers your risk of disease and infection.

  2. Acts as an anti-inflammatory – all sorts of inflammation in the body are linked to disease like cancer and brain and heart disease. Inflammation also occurs from joint pain associated with arthritis. Curcumin, ginger and cinnamon have anti-inflammatory properties, helping to reduce the severity, and chances of these diseases forming.

  3. Boosts immunity – antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties are found in curcumin, which may help fight off sickness and infection by building and keeping a strong immune system. Cinnamon and ginger also have great immune boosting properties!

  4. Helps digestion – curcumin can reduce stomach cramping and symptoms of gastro and bowel disorders, along with coconut oil helping to soothe the digestive tract.

  5. Controls cholesterol levels – curcumin and coconut oil has been shown to reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol and increase HDL (good) cholesterol. Good cholesterol helps to remove buildup in your arteries, which helps in cardiovascular health.

There’s so many more benefits of golden milk, but instead of talk about them, I want you to give it a try!
