Golden Turmeric Coconut Milk

Golden milk, or turmeric milk, originated from India as a traditional warm drink, that has many beneficial properties. Some of these health benefits are listed below!

  1. High in antioxidants – curcumin, a component in turmeric, has antioxidants that help to protect your body from stresses that cause cell damage, and lowers your risk of disease and infection.

  2. Acts as an anti-inflammatory – all sorts of inflammation in the body are linked to disease like cancer and brain and heart disease. Inflammation also occurs from joint pain associated with arthritis. Curcumin, ginger and cinnamon have anti-inflammatory properties, helping to reduce the severity, and chances of these diseases forming.

Golden Turmeric Coconut Milk

Serves 1 | Prep 5 mins | Cook 5mins


  • 1/4 cup coconut milk

  • 1/2 cup coconut water

  • 1/2 tsp honey

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, plus extra to serve

  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric

  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger

  • 1/8 tsp ground cardamom


  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender for a minute to thoroughly blend.

  2. Transfer to a microwave safe mug and heat on medium-high for 1 minute, stirring halfway through. (or heat in a saucepan over low heat for a few minutes)

  3. Serve with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
